Referrals
Invite a friend - what each side gets, when credit lands, and what a refund does to it.
Referrals, in the sidebar of your account, gives you one link. Share it, and when someone who registers through it pays their first Pro or Max invoice, you get account credit once that invoice can no longer be refunded - and they get a percentage off that invoice. Risbot sets both figures. Your friend's percent is shown to you in advance, on your own referrals page - but your reward's amount is not: you see it only once it has actually been credited, on the earned row below and in the notice you get when it happens.
Your link
The Invite a friend section in the summary column down the right of every account page, just above Ways to sign in, carries your link, a Joined count - the people who came through it and have earned you credit, or are still waiting to pay or for their credit to arrive, not counting anyone whose first invoice was refunded - and how much credit you have earned. Above the link it says how much credit each friend earns you when they pay for Pro or Max - the reward currently set by Risbot, so it changes when that does. Referrals is the full page, under a heading of its own reading "Your invite link": the link again, your running totals, and a row for everyone who has come through it, shown below without that heading so the still can stand on its own.
People you invited
Opening your link sets a cookie in that browser and takes them straight to the registration form, with a note above it naming who invited them - opening a different invite link afterward replaces it, so only the most recent link they opened is the one that can attribute them. A friend is attributed to you only once they actually register, in that same browser, within 30 days of opening the link - not by opening it alone, and not from a different browser or device. Once they register, the attribution is permanent for that account: nothing later - unlinking Telegram, changing plans - moves them to somebody else's link. Deleting their account is different: it removes that account, and if they register again afterwards, that fresh account can be attributed to whoever's link they use next.
The page shows your link and its stat cards, plus the "Credit earned" and "waiting" totals and one row per person, marked joined, pending, earned or cancelled. Joined and pending rows are the ones counted under "waiting": they have not earned you credit yet. A pending row has paid, and says the date its credit arrives by; a joined row has not earned anything, which is not always the same as unpaid - see below. Before anyone has used your link, it is the same page at zero - every total reads zero and the list says nobody has used it yet:
People you invited
Anyone who registers through it appears here, masked, and stays tied to your account however long they wait.
What a friend sees
Their link opens the registration form, with a line above it saying who invited them and what a first Pro or Max invoice would be worth to them:
What each side gets
You get account credit when somebody you invited pays their first Pro or Max invoice - but not at that moment. The credit is held until that invoice can no longer be refunded: when its refund window closes, or sooner if they renew or upgrade that plan, which rules a refund of it out for good. Until then their row reads pending, with the date the credit arrives by. What you are owed is settled when they pay: changing the reward before the credit arrives does not change it. Free never earns anything, for either of you - a friend who stays on Free, or never pays at all, earns nobody credit.
They get a percentage off that one invoice, decided when they check out and applied automatically with nothing to type. The amount you receive and the percentage they get are both set by Risbot and can change - your referrals page always shows the percent that applies right now, and you see your own reward once it lands.
You get notified once the credit arrives, when the next notification pass runs - on Telegram if you have a linked bot, by email if you have an address on file, either or both:
It never stacks with a campaign
If a discount campaign is running when your friend checks out - shown at checkout under its own name, such as "Launch offer" - they get whichever of the two is larger, the referral discount or the campaign, never both added together. On a tie, the campaign is the one that applies. Campaigns run on their own schedule and are not limited to a first invoice; a referral discount is.
Once per person, for life
A friend's turn is spent by their first paid Pro or Max invoice, whatever happened to that invoice's price - a campaign winning instead or a configured percent of zero still use it up, the same as an invoice that was discounted. Somebody who has already taken part - through you or through anybody else's link - earns you nothing by joining again: no discount for them, no credit for you.
That is remembered by the email address that pays the first invoice: paying on that address again later, even from a new account after deleting the old one, does not unlock a second discount or a second reward for whoever invited them this time. That guarantee is about the email specifically - it is not a promise about a Telegram account.
Refunds
A refund of the first invoice before its credit has arrived simply ends it: the row reads cancelled, nothing is added to or taken from your balance, and you are not notified, because you never held that credit.
Once the credit has arrived, that invoice can no longer be refunded - which is why the credit waits - so credit you have been given is never taken back. A refund of any later invoice never touches it either; your friend kept that first month, and what happens to a later one is between them and Risbot.
Credit
Credit comes off your next invoice by default - the same all-or-nothing toggle at checkout that Billing describes applies to it like any other credit. It does not expire and it cannot be withdrawn. Besides spending it, it can also be reduced or lost outright: an operator can make a correction, and deleting your account loses whatever is left, on either ending.
When a paying friend stays joined
Your reward is decided at the moment your friend's first invoice is actually paid. If no reward was configured at that moment, or if that friend had already taken part in the programme before, through you or somebody else, you are not paid for it, and you are never paid for it later - the same invoice cannot pay you twice, and once it has settled without paying you that chance is gone for good.
Their invoice still spends their one turn either way, so on your own referrals page that friend keeps showing as joined (counted under waiting) rather than earned whenever nothing was actually paid out. There is no state for "took part, nothing owed" - if a friend you invited seems to be stuck waiting long after they must have paid, one of these is why.
If you delete your account
Deleting your account, on either ending, stops your link from working and loses any credit you have not yet spent, the same as the rest of your account credit. Anyone already attributed to you keeps their own discount regardless - that is between us and them - but you are not paid for a first invoice that settles after you have gone, nor for one whose credit had not yet arrived when you left.
