Deleting Your Account

Two endings, not one - Delete profile keeps your bot setup, Erase everything removes it and never returns.

Security, in the sidebar of your account, has a danger zone at the bottom with two buttons in it, not one. "Delete my account" used to mean one thing; it turned out to be two different requests with two different consequences, so there are now two separate endings and a table above them comparing what each one does.

Danger zone

Two different endings. One lets you come back to the setup you already tuned; the other takes your setup with it and gives nothing back.

Delete profile

Closes the web account and removes your personal data. Your guardrails, bot settings and trade history stay on file, and your exchange key is removed - link the same Telegram account again later and it all reattaches.

Erase everything

Profile, guardrails, bot settings and every exchange key - deleted immediately. Your trade history is kept for legal purposes and never comes back, even if you register again.

The two endings, and the table that tells them apart - which is the whole point of the section.

Two endings

Delete profile closes your web account and removes your personal data - your login and your profile. If you have linked a Telegram account, it also removes your exchange key. Everything else is left on file: your bot settings, your guardrails and your entire trade history stay exactly as they are, keyed to the Telegram account you linked. Your note templates are deleted with the profile; the notes on your trades stay with the bot, alongside its trade history.

Erase everything takes your profile and login, your bot settings and guardrails, and the Telegram link itself - deleted for good, and support cannot bring any of it back. Your trade history is not deleted with them: we keep it, out of reach of any account, to meet our legal obligations - and it is never returned, not to you and not to a new account made with the same email or Telegram account. Your trade notes and note templates are your own words rather than a record of what the exchange did, so they are deleted along with everything else, not kept with the history.

Both happen immediately, and once the deletion or erasure itself runs there is no 24-hour window and no way to change your mind - by the time the dialog closes, it has already happened. If you have an authenticator app on the account, a code step sits between confirming and that happening, and cancelling it really is a way back out - see below.

Delete profile

The dialog restates the split before you commit to it:

Deleted: profile, login methods, sessions

Kept: bot settings, guardrails, trade history

Confirm by typing:

delete profile

If you have an authenticator app on the account, a second step follows the phrase and asks for a six-digit code. Nothing is deleted until it checks out, and cancelling takes you back to the dialog with your phrase still typed.

If you have never linked a Telegram account, there is nothing here for it to keep - it reaches the web account and stops there.

What brings it back

Linking the same Telegram account again - not registering with the same email. A new registration makes a new profile with its own id and no Telegram link, and none of your old setup comes back until that link is made. Link the same Telegram account to the new profile and your bot settings, guardrails and trade history reattach to it. Nothing else does that - if you register with the same email but a different Telegram account, or skip linking altogether, your old setup stays exactly where deleting left it: unreachable.

Erase everything

The dialog lists what it takes, one item at a time rather than summarising it as "everything" - and, separately, the one thing it does not take:

Erased for good: profile and login · Telegram link · bot settings and guardrails · exchange API keys

Kept, never returned to you: trade history - kept for legal purposes, never returned to you or to a new account

Confirm by typing:

ERASE EVERYTHING

and tick the box beside it:

I understand my trade history and bot settings cannot be restored, even by support.

Both have to be satisfied before the button unlocks - the phrase proves you read the list, the checkbox proves you read the sentence next to it.

As with Delete profile, an account with an authenticator app is asked for a six-digit code after the phrase and the checkbox. Nothing is erased until it checks out - and unlike the phrase, this step cannot be undone once it passes.

There is nothing left to reattach afterward. Registering again, with the same Telegram account or a different one, starts from an empty account - your old trade history stays on file for legal purposes, but it is kept out of reach of any account and never joins the new one.

Open positions are not closed by either

Open positions are not closed for you. Flatten them on the exchange first - afterwards Risbot has no key to do it with.

This is true of Delete profile too, and it is the surprising half: "kept on file" can read as though the bot keeps trading in the background. It does not - Delete profile removes your exchange key, so there is nothing left to place or close an order with, and Erase everything removes the account it would trade from entirely. Either way, a position left open when you confirm stays open until you close it yourself, on the exchange.

Billing, for both

Both endings end a paid plan straight away, close any invoice still waiting for payment, and take your deposit address away from you. Account credit still on the account is lost - nobody can spend it afterwards, and credit on its own is never refunded - so spend it on a plan first. If you paid for a plan in the last 7 days and have not traded since, you can ask for a refund of that payment before you delete. Both dialogs say so:

A paid plan ends, any account credit is lost, and your deposit address stops being yours. Invoices stay for tax law only.

Invoices, credit notes and payment records are kept either way.

Neither the plan nor the credit comes back later - not by linking the same Telegram account again, and not by registering with the same email. Billing belongs to the profile, and a new registration is a new profile.

Do not send money to your old deposit address after deleting. It is still recorded when it arrives, but it lands as credit on the deleted account, where nobody can spend it, and it does not pay an invoice or start a plan. Once you have registered again, pay from the new account's own address.

Referral memory, for both

Neither ending erases the record that this email was the one an invited friend used to pay their first Pro or Max plan, if it ever was - whether or not a discount actually applied to that invoice. No record like this is written for inviting friends yourself: it exists only for somebody who took part as the invited friend and paid, and registering again with the same email will not unlock a second discount.

The email is kept as a keyed hash, never the address itself. If a Telegram account was ever linked to this record - whether before paying or afterward - its id is kept too, in plain text: that is not part of the guarantee above, which is about the email specifically.

If you were the one inviting friends, deleting or erasing your account retires your invite link so it stops working, and loses any referral credit you had not yet spent, the same as the rest of your account credit above - and any that had not yet arrived, which is never credited. Separately, the record of who you invited - your retired link and the rows naming you as their inviter - is not deleted either, on either ending; unlike the record above, it carries no guarantee and blocks nothing if you register again, so this changes nothing for you or for anyone you already invited: they keep whatever discount they were given.

The operational record is kept for both

Neither ending touches the internal record of what the bot did on your account - not because it was missed, but because it is what explains a problem afterward, for an account that has since closed as much as for one that is still open. It holds no login, no exchange key and nothing that could sign in or trade as you; it is a log, not a way back in.
